1) How long have you been doing pilates? Why did you decide to teach?
I was introduced to Pilates after I hurt my back in the early 90s. My physical therapist used Pilates equipment and within a year I felt stronger than I could’ve imagined. I’ve been teaching the method since 1995 with the sole intention of helping others the way my therapist helped me. I am so grateful to this practice and I’m still excited to show up for others every day.
2) Why do you love to teach at Vault?
Working for Stefanie at the Vault has honestly been the most amazing experience, not only am I surrounded by talented teachers, but the clients have welcomed me with open arms. It feels like we are doing something really magical at the Vault and I am proud to be part of this amazing team.
3) What is your favorite workout to do in your free time?
Outside of the studio I usually do my own workout at home. My favorite workout is just to combine my love of Breathwork, meditation, Pilates, and yoga.
4) What’s one thing about you that most people don’t know?
The one thing that people don’t really know about me is that I love going to the beach to watch the sunrise.
5) What’s the most rewarding thing about teaching pilates?
The most rewarding thing about teaching Pilates is the connections and people I’ve met throughout my career. Some of my closest friends I’ve met through my work. I feel blessed.
6) What’s your favorite thing to do outside of fitness?
Outside of the studio my favorite hobbies are cooking, beading, painting, making jewelry etc … I’m a real homebody.
