FAQ

First Timers & General FAQ

I'm new, how should I get started?

keyboard_arrow_down

There are three main categories of what we do at Vault:

Group Fitness classes (Barre, Yoga, TRX, Pilates Mat, Bootcamp etc)
Group Pilates Apparatus classes (Pilates Apparatus which means the instructor chooses the apparatus to be used that day, Reformer, Tower, Chair, etc)
Private/Semi Private sessions (Private is one-on-one, Semi Private means 2-4 people, for Pilates, Personal Training or Yoga.)

Ask yourself: are you interested in Group Fitness classes, Private sessions, or both?

If you are interested in Pilates Apparatus, we offer New Client Specials for new clients who want to try Pilates. The Welcome Special is three private sessions for $195 ($65 ea), for the client to gain more in-depth knowledge into the fundamentals of Pilates. At the conclusion of the Welcome Special, clients are welcome to stay with private instruction, move on to Group Pilates Apparatus classes, or do a combination of both

If I have an injury, can I work out at Vault?

keyboard_arrow_down

YES! Many clients come to Vault post-injury to rehabilitate, grow stronger, and prevent future injuries. We recommend you take a Private Pilates session with a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor so that you can learn your modifications and be guided into the fitness routine most appropriate based on your individual needs. Note you must be cleared to exercise by your physician before beginning classes at Vault.

I've taken Pilates equipment classes at other studios, can I join Group Pilates Apparatus classes at Vault?

keyboard_arrow_down

Safety is our number one priority at Vault. We require all clients, regardless of prior experience, to take the Welcome Special (3 private sessions) before attending group Pilates Apparatus classes. This is for a multitude of reasons, namely the safety and comfort of the client and their fellow classmates. Classical Pilates is taught as a rigorous sequence of exercises where transitions are part of the exercise, so basic knowledge not only of the operation of your own equipment, but also exercise names and transitions is vital to keep the pace of class flowing and heart rates elevated. Moreover, the Welcome Special is the optimal time for the client to learn any particular modifications their body may need in group classes, for example, how to modify exercises for lower back issues, shoulder issues etc.

Do I have to sign up ahead of time, or do you allow walk-ins?

keyboard_arrow_down

All clients, particularly new clients, must sign up ahead of time to reserve a spot in class. Certain classes are more likely to have more spots available on a regular basis for last minute sign ups or walk-ins, but we cannot guarantee you a spot in class if you are not signed up prior to the beginning of class.

When should I arrive for my first class?

keyboard_arrow_down

Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class so that you can meet our front desk staff, fill out your client information form and waiver, provide a credit card to be put on file, and be introduced to your instructor.

What should I wear? What should I bring?

keyboard_arrow_down

Most clients feel most comfortable in workout pants or crops and a tank top or t-shirt. For both safety and sanitary reasons, the only classes you may go barefoot in are Yoga and Pilates. We ask you wear grip socks for barre, and sneakers for all strength & cardio classes. Clients are welcome to wear grip socks for Pilates, but not required. If you do not already have grip socks, we have them available for purchase in the lobby.

We ask that all clients please avoid perfumes or scented lotions which may cause allergic reactions in other guests. Please also leave your cell phone on silent in your bag, and if you need to answer an important text or phone call, we ask that you step out of the classroom to do so.

All props required for class are provided, so we recommend you bring a towel, water bottle, and whatever footwear is appropriate. We do have mats available for use for all classes. Clients are welcome and encouraged to bring their own yoga mats for yoga, but you may borrow one if you forget or are visiting!

Do you have showers or locker rooms? What sort of amenities do you have?

keyboard_arrow_down

We do not have showers or locker rooms, but our bathrooms are stocked with dry shampoo, deodorant, hair spray, hand lotion and feminine products. We also have a stash of hair ties, and water coolers to fill up your water bottles. We sell water bottles, and protein bars for snacking.

How old do I have to be to work out at Vault?

keyboard_arrow_down

For our regular group fitness classes, clients must be at least 13 with parental supervision, 16 with written or oral parental permission, and 18 otherwise. For our Fit Kids classes (Boca location only,) kids as young as 7 and as old as 13 may join classes. All clients under the age of 16 must have a minor liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian before participation in any classes.

What should I be doing for optimal results?

keyboard_arrow_down

Consistency is key! We believe in the power of cross training- commit to a consistent workout routine that is safe, yet challenging, and progress gradually for optimal long term results. Movement heals!

Can I work out at Vault while pregnant?

keyboard_arrow_down

If you exercised consistently prior to your pregnancy, then you can continue, however be aware of modifications. Pregnant clients should keep their heart rate under 140 bpm during workouts. Our staff are trained to give modifications to clients who are expecting, so please be sure to let the instructor know before class so that they can customize your workout. Note you must be cleared to exercise by your physician before beginning classes at Vault.

Purchasing Classes & Memberships

How does pricing work, what are my options?

keyboard_arrow_down

It really depends on whether you plan to take Group Fitness or Group Pilates Apparatus classes, and how often you see yourself coming.

Reminder, clients must take the Welcome Special (3 Private Sessions) before joining group Pilates Apparatus classes.

If you workout at Vault 1-2 times per week, we advise a class package. We sell packages of 1, 10 or 20 classes for Group Fitness and Pilates Group Apparatus, which have a one year expiration date.

If you workout at Vault more than 3 times per week, we recommend an unlimited package. All of our unlimited packages have a max of 2 classes per day, but clients can pay $15 for additional classes. For clients who come roughly 3-5 times a week, the Recurring Membership (max 20 visits per month) is usually the best option. For those who come to more than 5 classes a week, the Non-Recurring membership will be most ideal (max 60 visits per month.)

Note – Pilates Apparatus classes are not included in the unlimited memberships in West Palm Beach. See pricing page for more detailed information regarding all pricing options.

Ask us about special rates for students & teachers, as well as visitors to the area!

Can I use my classes at both locations?

keyboard_arrow_down

Yes! Email info@vault.fit for more information.

Can I freeze my membership? What about cancelling recurring memberships?

keyboard_arrow_down

Recurring memberships and non-recurring unlimited month memberships will only be frozen in case of serious illness or injury. If you are on a recurring membership and need to cancel, we ask that you email info@vault.fit 7 days prior to the next billing cycle so that we have the time to cancel it before it runs.

Late Arrivals, Cancellations & No Shows

What is the cancellation/no show policy?

keyboard_arrow_down

12 hours! Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled time for Group Fitness classes, Group Pilate Apparatus classes, and Private or Semi-Private sessions will be considered a “late cancel.” Late cancellations within this 12 hour period, as well as “no-shows,” will result in the forfeit of the class or private session, or a charge to the credit card on file if the client has an unlimited recurring or non-recurring membership.

What if I am running late?

keyboard_arrow_down

We recommend that you arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of class. If you are running behind, please give us a call to let us know you are on your way. If we do not hear from you, and there is a student on standby, your spot will be forfeited to the client on standby.
